Funeral services for Mrs. Rilla Hollis Birdsong, 82, resident of the Blue Creek section, were held at one o'clock Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest E. Boatright, after an extended illness. A native of Giles County, she was born May 18, 1871, the daughter of the late Mr. Hollis and Mary Erwin Compton Hollis. Her husband, J. Wesley Birdsong died 14 years ago. Mrs. Birdsong is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Boatright; one son, Alexander Birdsong, Tracy City; six grandchildren. and eight great grandchildren.
