Obituary
Peggy Ashton (Margaret Mary Schaufler Ashton) of Miami, Florida died Monday, January 30 in Miami. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of Clarence E. Schaulfer and Esther Cogley Schaufler.
She graduated from St. Benedict Catholic High School and worked in Detroit until she and two adventurous girlfriends moved to Miami in 1951.
In 1953, she met the love of her life, John William Ashton (Bill) from Pulaski, Tn.
They were married in Michigan later that year and moved back to Miami in 1954. She was a devoted and wonderful mother to their four children and the best wife a man could hope for.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4th from 10:00am until 12:00noon at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pulaski.
Funeral Service will follow on Saturday at 12:00noon at the  Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Pulaski with Rev. Mike Hume officiating.
Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery, Lynnville, Tn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill and her children: William Howard Ashton of Atlanta, Robert Charles Ashton of Miami, Carol Ashton Ives and husband, Lee of Charlotte, NC and
Thomas John Ashton of Los Angeles, CA. She was a loving grandmother to Ashton Ives, Kathleen Ives, Margaret Ashton and Elisabeth Ashton. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Prymak and by
seventeen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sister Margaret Therese (Alice), Delores Tabbita and by her brother, Clarence E. Schaufler, Jr.
Bennett-May Giles County Funeral Home (Pulaski, Tennessee) is assisting the family with arrangements.
