Brown Wilkes Barlar, 50, died Thursday, June 26, at his home on Route 3,
Lynnville.
Funeral services for Mr. Barlar were held Friday afternoon, June 27, at the
Lynnville Church of Christ, with Artie Collins officiating. Burial was in
Lynnwood Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mr. Barlar was born April 16, 1919, the son of the
late Bernie and Annie Ingram Barlar.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alene Bonds Barlar; three sons, Roger Barlar,
Lynnville, Don Barlar, U. S. Navy, Orange Park, Fla., and Larry Barlar, South
Shore, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Arnett, Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Elton
Check, Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Cordell Barlar, California; one
half-sister, Mrs. David Bowen, Pulaski; and three grandchildren.
