W. F. �Billy� Harwell died at his home in the Cedar Grove community, Friday,
Jan.8, age 67. After funeral services conducted by Elders Murphy & Clark, the
body was laid away in the family burying ground at the home. Mr. Harwell was a
good citizen & is survived by his wife & three children.

Funeral services for Nancy Christopher Harwell, 87, resident of the Austin
Hewitt Home, were held at 2 o�clock Sunday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral
Home, conducted by Gilbert E. Shaffer, minister of East Hill Church of Christ.
Burial took place in the Harwell Cemetery at Cedar Grove. Mrs. Harwell died
Saturday afternoon, April 1, at the Home after a long illness. Born December 26,
1873, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Christopher &
Louisa Browning Harwell. Her husband, W. F. Harwell, died several years ago. She
was a life long member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Harwell is survived by one
son, William Osborne Harwell; seven grandchildren & sixteen great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Ben Holt & Mrs. John Bledsoe, both of Pulaski; & one brother,
Ross Christopher, Tucson, Ariz.; one half-brother, Guy Christopher, Toledo,
Ohio.
Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Miss Lydia Mae Harwell, 58, were held at 2 o�clock Sunday
afternoon in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by Elder Gilbert
Gibbs of Lawrenceburg. Burial took place in the family center at Cedar Grove.
She died at 10:20 o�clock Friday morning, July 11, at Giles County Hospital
after a brief illness. The daughter of Mrs. Ella Christopher Harwell & the late
W. F. Harwell, she was a lifelong resident of the county & was a member of the
Church of Christ. Miss Harwell is survived by her mother; one sister, Mrs. R. L.
Watson; one brother, William Osborne Harwell, both of Cedar Grove; three nieces
& four nephews. Bennett-May & Company, Funeral Directors.

did not survive long without the mother's nourishment in spite of the family
efforts.
