CARMACK, Margaret Ruth Greer, Aug. 8, 1813 - Mar. 31, 1857. Margaret Ruth Greer married Samuel Williams Carmack in 1834. They had two sons, George Call Carmack and Samuel W. Carmack. According to http://www.marchant-thomas.com/html/d0002/g0000041.html , she is buried in Greer cemetery in Petersburg, TN.

GREER, Joseph, 1754 - Feb 1831. Here lyeth the body of Joseph Greer, He was while living an example of everything distinguished for his benevolence and humanity. He died on the 23rd day of Feb. 1831, in the 77th year of his age. Lamented by all who knew him." (Metel Plaque): "King's Mountain Messenger Joseph Greer carried the message of the Victory at King's Mountain to the Continental Congress at Philadelphia, Thereby turning the Tide of the Revolution." (Daughters of the American Revolution)

These two separate fenced areas of graves probably reflect the fact that there were also graves between these fenced areas and since they were not inside fences the graves were destroyed by livestock sometime in the life of this cemetery. Several unmarked graves.
