Mr. Audie Coell Shelby, 90, of Pulaski died June 17, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Giles County and was a lifelong resident. He was retired from the trucking and excavation business.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Gilbert and Minnie Lee Drake Shelby; his wife, Sallie Boatright Shelby; sisters, Virginia Flaurice McGee, Lela Grace Malone and Velma Hesta Irvine; and brother Hazel Edward Shelby.
Funeral services were held June 19 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial was in Giles Memory Garden.
Donations may be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Inc., 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
Survivors include son Edward Shelby and wife Anita of Pulaski; daughter Judy Lamar and husband Tom of Pulaski; brothers, Winford Martin Shelby and wife Mary Frances of Madison, Donald Jackson Shelby and wife Nannye of Donelson; sister Wylodene Boyatt of LaVergne; grandchildren, Tiffany Lamar, Tommy Lamar, Joseph Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
