The big mid-section of the memorial to Abel & Sarah Ezell the original progenitors in this Ezell Cemetery. We are actually looking at Abel's inscription.
Abel Ezell.
EZELL, Abel, 7 Dec 1780 - 9 Dec 1854. "IN memory of ABEL EZELL, born Decr 7th 1780 and Departed this life Septr 9th 1854. Why do we mourn departing friends or shake at deaths alarm tis but the voice that Jesus sends to call them to his arms."
