I disagree with the assignment of stones to the listings on findagrave.
The dirty but very old stone uncovered next to the tree I believe belongs as the
footstone for Col J. Hester. and the stone lying near the George Cunningham
monument belongs as the footstone for George Cunningham, but I could be wrong,
because I know the stone near George Cunningham has no inscribed initials.
Photographed on a cloudy Thursday 14 Apr 2016. The inscriptions were updated with exceptions found or known by C. Wayne Austin. This publication culminated from various sources. Listed on page 186 of the book Lincoln County County Cemeteries by Tim & Helen Marsh, abt 1978. Added here 30 Apr 2016. We found very little of much of the remains of this cemetery. It has been demolished by many years of neglect. Hope this site can continue to serve as the truth of who is buried where, but the evidence is vanishing from the cemeteries.
