Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lou Beard McMasters, 66, were held
at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Cool Spring Church of Christ, conducted by
Andrew Brown. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Mrs. McMasters died
Sunday night, January 23, at her home at Goodsprings. Born July 4, 1899, in
Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Beard and Mary Coble
Beard. Mrs. McMasters is survived by her husband, V. Eston McMasters; four sons,
V. E. McMasters, Jr., Lawrenceburg, Paul McMasters, Louisville, Ky., and Wayne
McMasters and Blaine McMasters, both of Pulaski; five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence
Holt and Mrs. Carol Walls, Pulaski, Mrs. E. B. Hardiman, Paris, Ky., Mrs. Eugene
Hope, Chattanooga, and Mrs. Jack Frost, Glenwood, Ga.; twenty-eight
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Ike Beard, Nashville;
and two sisters, Mrs. Logan Surles, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Rupert Surles,
Goodsprings. Pulaski Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
