MATTHEWS, Lillie Mae Butler. The Pulaski Citizen 7 Feb 1962. Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Butler Matthews, 76, were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, with the burial in Cool Spring Cemetery, near Goodspring. Mrs. Matthews died Friday afternoon, February 2, at the home in Nashville after four weeks illness. Twice married, her first husband was Dick Butler. Her second husband, L. H. Matthews, survives.In addition to Mr. Matthews, she is survived by two sons, Mahlon Butler and Brown Butler, Pulaski; two daughters, Mrs. Katie Armour and Mrs. Frances Wilson, Louisville, Ky.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Beadle, Mrs. Mary Barrett and Mrs. Frances Winters, Nashville; two step-sons, John Matthews, Springfield, and J. W. Matthews, Chattanooga; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
