Funeral services for Walter Neal Campbell, 89, retired farmer, were conducted
Wednesday afternoon, February 8, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Bennett-May
Funeral Home, with Gilbert Shaffer, Church of Christ minister, officiating.
Burial was in Cool Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell died Tuesday morning, February 7, at Giles County Hospital, born
August 15, 1877, the son of the late Thomas Neal and Lou Coleman Campbell. He
was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Hannah Campbell; six sons, Rufus E. and
Tom, Pulaski, Howard, Glendale, Calif., Lawrence, Athens, Ala., Giles, Tucson,
Ariz., and Robert Campbell, Knoxville; thirteen grandchildren; twelve
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. A. I. Davenport, Pulaski.
Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
