Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Barr, age 86, died on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the National Health Care in Columbia, TN.
She was born in Giles County, TN on July 6, 1925, retired from Lee Mar Shirt Factory, her parents were the late John Roy and Bessie Lee Stafford Beard. She was preceded in death by her husband James Flournoy Barr who died in 2001, son, James Don Barr who died in 2002, sisters, Barbara Beard, Imogene Hamon, brothers, Samuel, Harold and Charles Beard.
Visitation will be on Saturday, 3-31-2012, from 4PM to 8PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home .
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 4-1-2012, at 2PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Chestnut Grove Cemetery Fund.
Survivors are: daughters, Darlene Story and husband Jackie of Smyrna, TN, Kymberly Barr- Stacey and husband Robbie of Muncie, Indiana, sisters, Patsy Ralston and Jim of Nolensville, TN, Nellie Ruth Palmer and V. D. of Hopkinsville, KY, Sue Williams and Tommy of Bowling Green, KY, Rachel Vernon of Pekin, Indiana, grandchildren, Amber Nichole, Ashley Brooke and Anna Elizabeth Newton, Jaclyn Beth Story- Tarpley, and 12 precious great grandchildren.
