*** G.W. Smith was listed as a farm laborer in the1870 census living in the Campbell household.  Could he have been a son of Nancy by another marriage. I find it highly unlikely that such a large monument would be provided for George W. Smith unless he were closely related to the Campbells. Notice he shows up only in the 1860 census.

Thomas M Campbell Family Census info from 1850 - 1880 the last census Thomas M. & Nancy show up in because there is no 1890 census:

I did not find a marriage record on Ancestry.com for Thomas M. Campbell & Nancy. Census says Thomas M. Campbell's parents were born in South Carolina.

Added here 9 Jan 2016. This cemetery is also listed on Page 68 of the book Giles County Tennessee Tombstone inscriptions, by the Historical Society, about 1988. Surveyed 1st by Helen M. Zuccarello, 3 Mar 1985 for the book. This is what I term a lost cemetery since it is not publically mapped or owned & only vague instructions can be found to locate this cemetery. It was not mapped on USGS mapping. Thanks Rhonda Miller for showing me/us this cemetery. Rhonda also has made photos of this cemetery and provided the photo of the Thomas M. Campbell monument. That side of the monument was next to the ground and not readable.
