EWING, Mary J., wife of S. B. Ewing, dau. of J. & M.A. Gordon 13 May 1827 - 11 June 1853. Note: "Baby John G." was born 7 Jun and 4 days later Mary J. died. He lived just over two years, and then he passed. This is an example of the difficulties and risk of childbirth in the mid 1900th century.
