Last rites for William Cherry Jordan, 84, Toney. Route 2. were held Sunday at 11 
a.m. at the Bee Springs Church. W. C. Steadman officiating. Burial for the 
deceased, who died several days earlier, followed in the Bee Springs Cemetery, 
McConnell-Service directing. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Audio 
Scott. Maggie Randall and Mrs. Myrtle McCown; five sons. Dan, Homer, Jasper, 
Shelly and Willie; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine 
great-great- grandchildren.

JORDAN, Flora M., 12 Mar 1867 - 01 Aug 1936. At Rest. 4003 – her maiden surname 
was Walden/Waldon. Her parents were Newton Walden and Margaret Jane "Jane" or "Margarete 
Jane" McCollum, a sister to my gg-grandmother. Their parents were Ansel McCollum 
and Elizabeth “Bettie” Boyd, buried Patterson Cemetery, Calhoun Co., AL. obit :

Mrs. Jordon died at the home at Vinta last week, a fine woman, devoted wife and 
mother, who reared her children in the right way. Sympathy of the section was 
widely expressed, especially for the bereft aged husband, companion of long 
years past.
