Recorded in Deed Book 88, p. 280: Thomas C. Batts acquired 33 acres from Newton White, registered 7 January 1880 (Book MM, p. 327). Cash in hand: Twelve hundred sixty-five and 60/100 dollars. ($1265.60). This transaction was recorded 5 January 1880 at 3:55 p.m., by P. H. Ezell, Clerk. Information from Mrs. Elizabeth Daly.
