Obituary:
Earl James Baker, 68, of the Cross Bridges Road near Mt. Pleasant died Friday in Veterans Hospital in Nashville. Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. in Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery. The Maury native was a son of the late Thomas W. and Ethel Knapp Baker. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the army in 1962. Survivors include a brother, Elmer Baker of Mt. Pleasant; three nephews; and two nieces. Pallbearers were M.B. Henson, William Boyd, John C. Bolton, Russell Roberts, Bumpus England and Herschel Bolton.
