Mrs. Betty Lou Pierce Bolton, 56, wife of Walter Bolton, Sr. and a resident of Dyestone Branch Road in Summertown, TN died Thursday November 13, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bolton will be conducted Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Community Church with Reverend Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home and after 1:30 p.m. at the church.
She was the daughter of Christine Corter Pierce of Anderson Creek in Giles, County and the late Charlie Jackson Pierce. She was a former CNA at Westside Nursing Home in Huntsville Alabama and Hillview Health Care in Columbia, TN. She was a homemaker and a professional grandmother. She was a member of the Marcella Falls Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband and mother , she is survived by a daughter, Cindy Lou Clifft and a son, Walter (Shannon) Bolton, Jr. both of Summertown, TN; five sisters, Ida Mae (William) Johnson of Columbia, TN, Nancy Pierce of Summertown, TN, Linda (James) Barker of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Barbara (Wayne) Fuller of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Charlotte Glass of Summertown, TN; three brothers, Thomas Pierce of Summertown, TN, Charles (Ellen) Pierce of Pulaski, TN, Alton (Mary) Pierce of Summertown, TN; seven grandchildren, Skyler Bolton of Huntsville, Al, Brian Bolton, Patrick Bolton, Benjamin Bolton, Robert Brewer, Crystal Brewer, Dustin Clifft all of Summertown, TN.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Christine Bolton.
Pallbearers will be Jason Favors, Walter Bolton, Jr., Robert Brewer, Lee Williams, David Williams, Charles Pierce, Alton Pierce, Thomas Pierce and Tim Colvett.

BOLTON, William Edward
Obituary for William "Ed" Bolton
Mr. William "Ed" Bolton, 81, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Mr. Bolton was born on March 21, 1932 in Maury County to the late Bernie A. Bolton and the late Lora Baker Bolton. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and served honorably during his time of service. Later he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Floyd and Floyd contractors.
Ed was married to Henrietta Randolph Bolton who precedes him in death. His sons and grandsons remember that he loved to work, whether it was fishing, cutting wood or scrapping metal. They fondly recall that the only time he wasn't working was "card night" at their Aunt Margaret's house playing cards for hours with his brothers. He was a member of Ebenezer Church.
Mr. Bolton is survived by his children: Kathy (Jay) Bolton Davidson, Michael Eugene Bolton and Christopher "Chris" Bolton; step-children: Joyce (PeeWee) Riggins, Mary (Alton) Pierce and Carolyn McCanless; his daughter-in-law: Christine Bolton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: John C. Bolton and Walter "PeeWee" Bolton; and very special friend: Joyce Sealey. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his son: Eddie Bolton; step-children: William Ray Kelley, Margaret Williams, Clyde Kelley, Ricky Kelley and Paul Kelley; brothers: James "Jimmy" Albert Bolton, David Ray Bolton, Bernie Lee Bolton; and his former wife and mother of his only daughter: Katherine Isabell Medlin.
Funeral services for Mr. Bolton will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. William Owens and Danny Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Phillip Bolton, David Bolton, Matt Mayes, Christopher Bolton, Clinton Bradley and Jason Bolton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included all Ed's nieces and nephews as well as members of Ebenezer Church.

Don �Don Don� Boshers, age 58, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.
Don was born on May 26, 1957 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Fred and Margaret Boshers. Don loved Civil War reenactments. He went to many as well as participated in the reenactments. He was an avid outdoorsman; Don loved hunting, fishing, and boating. Don loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends and family. Don was of the Baptist faith.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Don is survived by his daughters Jessica (Jason) McCall of Burns, Tennessee, Heather Marsh of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, and Greta (Stephen) McConnell of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; grandchildren Brooklyn McConnell, Colby McConnell, Madison �Little Louise� Getz, Dylan Marsh, and Jordyn Grower; brothers Wayne Boshers and Charles Boshers; sisters Mary Ann King and Judy Hull; several nieces and nephews; Sue Powell of Mt. Don was preceded in death by wife Lisa Boshers; parents Fred and Margaret Boshers; and friend Reese Colvett.

Carolyn Henson Chatman, age 71 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday October 4, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Chatman was born October 27, 1940 to the late Octavia and Raymond J. Henson. Carolyn was a member of The Rock Church in Columbia, TN.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father: Raymond J. Hensen, mother: Octavia Crews, and brother: Jimmy Henson.
Survivors include her husband James "Whitey" Chatman of Mt. Pleasant, son: Ricky (Nene) Chatman of Mt. Pleasant, daughter: Sherry (Curtis) Johnson of Columbia, son: Evan (Jennifer) Chatman of Mt. Pleasant, sister: Ruth McKennon of Mt. Pleasant, sister: Joann Thomason of Columbia, brother: Leon Henson of Mt. Pleasant, brother: Larry Henson of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren: Elisha Thompson, Rick Chatman, Jennifer Pruitt, Michael Pruitt, Leo Cole, Breanna Chatman, Tyler Craig, and Rylee Chatman. Several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive her.

DUGGER, Morris
Mr. Morris Dugger, age 70, husband of Dorothy Dugger, and a resident of Summertown, passed away Friday morning, July 10, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 12th at 2PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, July 11th from 4-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Dugger was born in Maury County, Tennessee and was the son of the late Walter and Zettie Dugger. He was a truck driver for 40 years for various contractors in Maury County including Smith and Attkisson, Harris Trucking, McCandless, and several others. He attended Whispering Hills Free Will Church of God in Summertown. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, collecting antiques. He loved just talking with people and sitting around listening to the jukebox.
Along with his wife Dorothy Cranford Dugger, he is survived by his son, Danny Dugger of Columbia; daughters: Sherry (Guy) Hall of Columbia, Nancy (Don) Terry of Santa Fe, and step-daughter, Gina (Scott) Peterson of Columbia; brother: Loyd Dugger of Columbia; sisters: Sharmin Rowlett of Nashville and Peggy (Royce) Davenport of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Morris is preceded in death by his son, Benny Dugger; step-son, Clifford Hodge; three brothers and six sisters.
Pallbearers will be Walter Dugger, Shane Morton, Steve Morton, Cody Dugger, Scott Peterson, and Kevin King.


HENSON, William Leon
William L. �Leon� Henson, age 76, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Hickman County Nursing Home.
Leon was born on January 13, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to the late Raymond and Octavia Crews Henson. He was married to Norma Jean Johnson Henson and had one son, Scotty. Leon was retired from Tennessee Aluminum Processors as a truck driver and had also worked at Harris Trucking.
His family recalls that he was a hard working man. He was extremely friendly and never met a stranger. He was colorful and big talker. He loved children, especially his grandkids.
Leon is survived by his wife: Norma Jean Johnson Henson of Mt. Pleasant; son: Scotty (Patti) Henson of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Kaynon (Brittney) Henson, Kassidy Henson and Deanna Mayle; great-grandchildren: Peyton and Macy Mayle; siblings: Larry W. (Josephine) Henson, Joann Thompson and Ruth McKennon. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Jimmy Henson and Carolyn Chatman; and nieces: Barbara Heflin and Diane Mennutti.
Funeral services for Mr. Henson will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

HICKMAN, James Thomas
Mr. James Thomas Hickman, age 51, of Columbia, but formerly born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
James was born on June 23, 1963 to Raymond Wilson Hickman, Sr. and Alice Sweeney Hickman in Columbia, Tennessee. He was married to Mary Horton Hickman, who passed away on November 6, 2004. He was a mechanic by trade, having worked at Hickman�s Auto Repair. His family says that if anything had a motor, he could fix it. He also loved fishing, riding horses and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hickman is survived by his son: Ben (Hannah) McCall; grandson: Raylan McCall; mother: Alice Sweeney Hickman; siblings: Dorothy (Ray) Staggs, Ruby (Eddie) McKennon and Paul Hickman; special friends: Earl Johnson and Michael Pope; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts: Barbara Bell and Maude Lee Cates; and uncle: Alvin Sweeney. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Horton Hickman; father: Raymond Wilson Hickman, Sr.; and brother: Raymond Hickman, Jr.


HODGE, Clifford
Clifford C. Hodge, age 48 of Summertown, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Clifford was born in Garden City, MI on March 19, 1966 and was the son of Clinton Hodge and Dorothy Marie Cranford Hodge Dugger. He attended Columbia Central High School and was a member of the Baptist church.
Anyone who knew Clifford knew he had many "loves" in his life. Western movies, rodeos, bull riding and walking were among his favorites. He had participated as a runner in the Special Olympics and always enjoying watching Gunsmoke on TV. His passion for the western life was evident in his hats and boots, jeans and cowboy shirts. His greatest love in life, however, was his precious mother. She was always at his side to care for and guide him throughout his life.
In addition to his mother, Dorothy, he is survived by his step-father: Morris Ray Dugger of Summertown; a sister: Gina (Scott) Peterson of Columbia; two nephews: Andrew and Aaron Peterson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his step-sisters: Nancy (Don) Terry of Santa Fe and Sherry (Guy) Hall of Columbia; and a step-brother: Danny Dugger of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his father: Clinton Hodge.

Departed on Oct. 13, 2009 and resided in Ashland City, TN.
Mrs. Betty Grooms Cantrell Liles, age 83, longtime resident of Maury County, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, at the home of a granddaughter in Ashland City.
Funerals services for Mrs. Liles will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Born on February 9, 1926 in Maury County, Betty was the daughter of the late Arthur Grooms and Vera McCullum Grooms. She was first married to the late Wilburn Cantrell and later to the late C.L. Liles. Betty worked as a supervisor for Weather Tamer for a number of years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Two of Betty's favorite pastimes were crocheting and working in her flowers. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her children Glenda Parson of Columbia, Stanley (Kathy) Cantrell of Columbia, Sherry Johnson of Santa Fe, Vicki (Richard) Calvert of Summertown, Melissa Hendrix of Columbia and Steve (Charlene) Cantrell of Mt. Pleasant; one sister: Mary Elizabeth Powell of Mt. Pleasant; 28 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her best friend for many years, Sandy Brewer. She was preceded in death by one brother: C.V. Grooms and two grandchildren: Bridget Cantrell and Jeremiah Cantrell.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, W.A. Frost, Claude Frost and two sisters, Frances Ferguson and Lois Collins.

Rufus Overstreet, 85, a resident of Terrapin Branch Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, August 14th at NHC/Hillview.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Rufus E. and Angie Wiley Overstreet and the husband of Mary Angus Overstreet. He was a farmer and a member of Ebenezer Community Church.

The Gulfport, Mississippi native was the son of the late Donald Leon Scott and Anne (Otto) Luke Driskell. He was in the maintenance department at McGee Properties.

Pleasant; three daughters, Kristie (Jeremy) Choate, Jodi Scott, and Ashley Anderson, all of Mt. Pleasant; Special friends, Debra (Christopher) Boshers of Mt. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by a son, Steven Aaron Wilson of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Ragsdale and Virginia Gail Ragsdale, both of Mt. Mr. Marvin Ray "Rat" Workman, 71, a resident of Hatcher Lane and formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, died Wednesday July 20, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Claude and Annie Mae Green Workman and husband of Cristy Martin Workman. He was a retired self employed carpenter former employee of Osco Truck Washing in Columbia and custodian at Victory Temple Church in Elkhart, IN. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Terrisia Vincent of Rogersville, AL and Christy (Toby) Mayfield of Elkhart, IN; six sons, Tim (Dottie) Workman, Randy (Connie) Workman, Marty Workman, all of Elkhart, IN, Tommy Workman of Mishawaka, IN., Dustin (Jamie) Workman of Columbia and Jeremy "J.J." (Nikki) Workman of Greenville, TN; six sisters, Agnes (Frank) Skinner of Hampshire, Martha (Ray) Bassham and Ann (Phillip) Crews, both of Mt.
