DERRYBERRY-HARDISON-JACOB CEMETERY, RALLY HILL, MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE

Signage Dec 2008.

The new Hardison Cemetery sign at the Joe Brown & Lasea Roads intersection.
I do not know the source of the sign "Established in 1700". This country was not open up to the White Settlers until the early 1800s.  However there were white squatters on Indian lands here long before that and other folks that probably mixed with the natives, but 1700 seems early considering the Jamestown settlement was not in place until 1607.
