Jacob Benton Delk 10 May 1810 - 15 Jul 1882. (Born in Raleigh, N.C., son of Joseph & Fannie Dawson Delk.)
He was the great, great grandfather of James V. Delk, the father of Samuel Gill Delk and a host of others including Jesse and Benton Savage's grandmother --Frances Catherine. Seen here old enough to have a white beard.
