DANIEL, Capt. W., 26 Aug 1774 - 19 (or 12) Sep 1826, aged 52 years. (William Daniel, War of 1812.) The memorial Stone was not found by Fred L. Hawkins in his 1986 visit, but was listed in They Passed This Way during 1963). Obviously this stone is very difficult to read and may be hand inscribed and accounts for some researchers missing it. Inscription:
