DAIMWOOD, S.W., 31 Dec 1840 - 28 Mar 1926. (Sam W. Daimwood son of Henry Boone and Eliza J. Daimwood; Veteran Confederate States Army, Co. G, 24th Inf., (Duck River Rifles) and Co. K., 3rd Inf.; married Annie Burton.)
DAIMWOOD, Annie Burton, 4 Feb 1849 - 19 Feb 1926.(wife of Sam W. Daimwood.)

Sam W. Daimwood was born on Bear Creek on 31 Dec 1840 to Henry Boone and Eliza J. Daimwood. He served during the Civil War with Company G, 24th Infantry, (Duck River Rifles) and, later, with Company K., 3rd Infantry, At the Battle of Franklin, he and R. W. Tindell were close to Gen. Strahl when this officer was mortally wounded. After the war, Mr. Daimwood returned to Maury Co., married Annie Burton and produced a family of four sons and seven daughters. He died 28 Mar 1926 at the ripe old age of 85+ years.
