The further out upright stone is our subject. This cluster of six upright old stones are three head stones and three footstones. The headstones can be identified in the individual memorial photos and spotted here to separate them out.

BUTLER, Thompson D., 3 Dec 1818 - 5 Oct 1840. 22 years.
"Cut off in the spring of life, which gave hope of a useful and virtuous manhood. he was suden-ly summoned to a better world. and died in the cheering love of a blessed immortality."
