CROWE, Martha R. H., 26 Aug 1842 - 11 Feb 1916. (Wife, John M.; Dau. Duncan & Eliza McRae)
COLONEL JOHN MARSHALL CROWE, for whom this cemetery was named, was born in Williamson County, the son of Thomas A. & Louise Bugg Crowe who came from Virginia. John moved to the Rally Hill community, prior to the Civil War. He served in the 2nd Tenn. Cavalry. In 1865 he married Miss Henrietta McRae, daughter of Duncan and Eliza McRae. He became prominent in the post-war political and economic life of the area. He was elected as a State Senator in 1878, serving for one term. John & Martha's children are all buried in this cemetery and were: Thomas Duncan Crowe, Squire John Alfred Crowe and Henrietta (Powell) Amis.
