COOPER CEMETERY,  CRANFORD HOLLOW RD, MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE

The memorial for Mary A. Cooper. Stone is fallen from its base.  

COOPER, Mary A., 2 Oct 1832 - 1 Sep 1916. (single, daughter of Jonathan Cooper. native of SC. Obit. says she died 31 Aug 1918.)
On 8 Nov 1875, Jonathan Cooper deeded to his daughter Mary (Molly) Anderson Cooper , fifty acres in fee simple, being the land on which he resided. The deed was witnessed by R.A. Ogilvie, Jr., W.H. Mitchell, and his nephew, Robert O Smith. At this time she was the only single daughter that was living, and she had made a home for him and had never married, devoting her time to him and her single brothers. (Deed Gift recorded in Bk. 2-Y, p. 435 Maury Co. Tn.) She was named for her father's sister, Mary (Cooper) Anderson.
