1987 Commentary by Mr. Fred: The above markers are inside a fence. Outside are
many graves marked by fieldstones. They are probably the burial places of family
slaves. Only one of these has a marker with an inscription:
SLONE, W. M., 23 May 1845. Aged 24 Years 9 Months.. (He died prior to
the slaves being freed lending evidence to the above commentary)
