STANFILL, Alice Elizabeth, 22 Dec 1842 - 15 Apr 1863. "Dau. James & Mary Cathey; mar. G.W. Stanfill on 12 Mar 1862." (Box tomb, shaling badly.) Inscription read here before it is lost to time: "ALICE ELIZABETH -- wife of G. W. Stanfill, and daughter of -- James & Mary Cathey. Born Dec 22 -- 1812. Married March 12 1862. Died 15th -- of April 1863. ___ She was one of Earths brightest treasures? a dutiful daughter a_ _ _ -- devoted wife and _ _ _ _ _ The Lord gave a_ _ _ _ _ _ _ -- taken away. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Sleep sweet Alice Sleep secure, -- We watch thee o'er thy to sleep still sweet one soon see thee_ _ _ shall shine in joy and beauty."
