BLANTON CHAPEL METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY, OAK VALLEY DR., MAURY COUNTY TENNESSEE



The bottom part of the Piggy Adkisson memorial with  "ay 16 1877" of 16 May 1877 still visible. 

This is what I found the top of the stone lying against the same tree as Maggie Jones memorial and the base lying to our right against a big poplar tree. The death date is unreadable.

ADKISSON, Piggie, 8 Jul 1851 - 16 May 1877. The 8 in the birth date is really about all remaining that we can confirm here. That leaves us using Mr. Fred Hawkins in MCTC as our guide for this inscription. That birthdate sure looks like 1801 to me but you can be the judge using census information to confirm.
