Inscribed as: "SACRED To the memory of John Amis born Oct 29th 1774 departed this life Sept 9th 1852 Aged 77 years, 10 months & 11 days."
Dates do not calculate. The birth year has always been presented as 1771 in the past but I believe it is a faint 1774 leaving a month error in the calculation as that calculates to 11 months instead of 10.
