Eleazar Alexander 1763 - 1810.

ALEXANDER, Eleazar, 23 Nov 1763 - 26 Oct 1810. (Son of Ezra and Mary Polk Alexander in North Carolina; came to Maury Co. in 1808 with some of the earliest pioneers, settling in Carter's Creek area; mar. to Margaret Carter dau. of Robert and Margaret Bronson Cater circa 1788; update Ref: Rick Gray.) This is one of the oldest stones in Maury County as the mass inflow of settlers did not begin to pick up until after 1807.
