WILSON, Kathyrn Louise Jameson Departed this life Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Richland Health Care Center. Born near Mt. Pleasant, TN, she was the daughter of Scoville McMeen Jameson and Henry Melville Jameson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Theodore (Ted) Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Henrietta Shasteen (Mrs. William J.) of Huntsville, AL and Linda Margaret MacIlwaine (Mrs. William A. IV) of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Kathryn Shasteen Proctor (Collins) of Tallahassee, FL, Susan Shasteen Hunter (Branden) of Savannah, GA, Mary Virginia (Molly) Shasteen of Nashville, TN, William Andrew MacIlwaine V of Burlington, VT, Wilson Stuart MacIlwaine of Charleston, SC and Peter Jameson MacIlwaine of Jackson, WY; and great-grandchildren, Leroy Collins Proctor, Jr., Richmond Clay Proctor and William Jameson Proctor, all of Tallahassee, FL and William Grant Hunter and Kathryn Elizabeth Hunter of Savannah, GA. Kathryn grew up in Mount Pleasant and graduated from Haylong High School. She attended Sullins College for Women in Bristol, VA where she was elected May Queen and graduated from Peabody College (now part of Vanderbilt University) in Nashville, TN in 1934. After college, she was employed by the Nashville Department of Social Services as a social worker. Kathryn married Ted Wilson in 1939 in Nashville where they lived and raised their daughters. She was an active member of West End Methodist Church for many years, a volunteer social worker for Fannie Battle Daycare and a volunteer at Vanderbilt Hospital. Kathryn will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and friends. A funeral service will be held in Scales Chapel at West End Methodist Church on Saturday, January 24th, at 11 a.m., followed by Interment in the Alexander Family Cemetery near Spring Hill, TN.
