This topographical map shows the approximate GPS of the Pettey-Spragins Cemetery of Madison Alabama. The location is indicated in the center of the map marked with the red check Specific Location: Section 13, Range 1E Township 1S. In the middle of Section 13.
I have not visited this cemetery so I hesitate to give directions until I know for sure. I am mapping out Dorothy Johnson's directions in 1970 as given in her Madison Co. Cemetery book: "Old maps of Madison County show that a road once passed by this cemetery, however, the road has since changed and is a quarter of a mile away at this time. The cemetery is located approximately 1/4 mile due west of Mint Spring on a cliff overlooking Swamp Branch (creek). It is 2-1/2 miles due south of the Alabama-Tennessee line."
