This topographical map shows the GPS of the Jacks Cemetery. The location is indicated in the center of the map marked at GPS N 34.89464 X W -86.42268. Specific Location: Section 4 Township 2 Range 2E SW corner and N central part of that Corner. Located on a hillside on the east (left) side of Jacks Road leading southeast out of New Market 1 mile.
From Huntsville go northeast on Winchester Rd to New Market and turn right on Hurricane Road the immediately back southeast on Jacks Road. Follow that one mile and look to your left on a hill side at the cemetery about 100 yards from the road.
This aerial view shows an outline of the cemetery premises. All of the graves are facing east with the foot toward the east. This is not due east but an easterly direction known to the residents not map experts, thus the slight cant to the south in the cemetery direction. Mapping experts can explain this in a technical manner, but the difference is in the polar magnetic direction compared to due east on a map.
