This topographical map shows the GPS of the Douglass-Pettus Cemetery of Madison Alabama. The location is indicated in the center of the map marked with the red check. This cemetery is incorrectly located by the GNIS mapping so here is one of the few places you will see it correctly located. The error is about 1/4 mile west of the correct place.
At the intersection of Hwy 72 and Jeff Road go north to Douglass-Pettus Road and turn left. Go 7 tenths of a mile and look to your right on the bank of the road and you will see the stones scattered along the area.
Notice the check mark indicating the center of the cemetery location. The stones show on this map as small white objects.
