Base set in place for this was too small to fit the stone of Tommie's so there is another lost stone here and it is not a footstone because footstones are tiny for this type of monument. 9777/9778/9779

This cemetery was surveyed using the 50xx series of photo on 21 Oct 2010. During January 2011 the cemetery was cleared of brush by myself removing about 3 tons of growth and the 97XX series of photos then made which are better photos. Some photos considered acceptable were not remade. In this process stones were found and photographed that had not been seen in years. Even the cemetery book for Madison County, as good a book as that is, missed a couple of stones. [C Wayne Austin 25 Apr 2011]
There is a giant black cherry tree leaning toward the stones that will fall in the near future. When it does it will probably break several stones. I do not have the equipment to remove it without it falling on the stones. The stone of Martha L. Carter had already been crushed by one of these trees. Black Cherry trees are absolutely the worst tree to let grow in a cemetery. They quickly grow enormously big and then die violently by falling on anything in their path. [C Wayne Austin 25 Apr 2011]
