CAVETT-BOGGS CEMETERY, (1/4 mile east of hwy 31), MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA
 

J. Richard Cavett entered and settled this property in 1809 as one of Madison County's first pioneer settlers.

It is interesting to note that on September 28, 1809, in Tazewell County, Va. , there was a record of A Power of Attorney from Richard Cavet to John Peery and Thomas Perry which was proven, in part, by the oaths of John Pruiett, Jr. and John Crockett. On August 7, 1816, in Madison County, Alabama, Nancy Cavett married William W. Pruett. (Marriage Book I.)
