Died August 1, 2011
Georgie Boykin Ledlow, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt,
was led away by the hand of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ
August 1, 2011 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She
was 75 years old.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morrison Funeral Home of
Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the
funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Old Brick Cemetery. Dr.
Paul Busby will officiate.
Mrs. Ledlow was a member of Nirtate City Nazarene Church. Mrs.
Ledlow is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan Ledlow;
daughters, Glenda May and Anita Kay Osborn (Eddie); grandchildren,
Mandy Dean (Jamison), Matt Osborn (Bethany), and Mary Katherine
Osborn (Ben); great-grandchildren, Christa, Kyla, and JB Dean, and
Walker Hines Osborn; sisters, Barbara Herring, Katie Antepenko, and
Alma Danley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Boykin;
son-in-law, Byron May; sister, Margie Davis; and special
sister-in-law, Cathy McClure.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of North
Alabama and Bethany Osborn, Brandy McClure, and Cathia Davis for all
of their care, along with extended family, friends and her
community.
Pallbearers will be Jason McClure, Anthony Clayton, Phillip Ledlow,
Ronny Aday, Billy Joe Davis, and Josh Waldrep.
Honorary pallbearer will be Guy Aday, Jr.
