R B Willis, 69, Muscle Shoals, died Friday, Feb. 16, 1996. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home Chapel, Sheffield, with burial in Old Brick Cemetery. Brother David Dickey will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Berneese Willis, Muscle Shoals; son, Bobby Willis, Muscle Shoals; daughter-in-law, Mary Willis, Muscle Shoals. The Masons will serve as pallbearers; Among other things he kept horses on his ten acre tract, along County Line Road near Ford City. Paul Austin was his next door neighbor to the north.) Shegog Creek went thru both of their 10 acres.

Velma Berneese Willis, age 70, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001. Visitation was Friday, Nov. 16, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Sheffield. The graveside service will be Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. at Old Brick Cemetery, with Brother George Lee officiating. She attended Mount Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Willis, who had a special love for flowers and animals, was the former co-owner of RB Willis Saddlery. She was preceded in death by her husband, RB Willis. Survivors include son, Robert L. "Bobby" Willis and wife, Mary C., of Muscle Shoals; sister, Dorothy Young of Florence; nephew, Larry Frederick of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. Pallbearers include Dr. Frank Gravlee, Doug Puckett, Tommy Minor, Robert Austin, Larry Frederick and Chris Craft.)
