Roy B. Lowery
Roy B. Lowery, 72, Leighton, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Old Brick Presbyterian Church. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Brother Terry Bracken and Brother Bob McGehee will officiate. Burial will be in Old Brick Cemetery, with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Lowery was a member and elder of Old Brick Presbyterian Church, a retired public accountant and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a member, past master and secretary of Leighton Lodge No. 43 F.&A.M., a member of Leighton Chapter No. 239 OES of Leighton. He served in the Korean War 1951-52.
Survivors include his wife, Huda B. Lowery of Leighton; sons, Roy B. Lowery II and wife, Dealynn, of Sheffield, Wyatt K. Lowery and wife, Felecia, of Lexington; daughter, Trish L. Reece and husband, Michael, of Florence; sisters, Reba G. Lowery, Camilla Wood, both of Leighton, Carolyn Sockwell and husband, Ronald, of Huntsville; granddaughters, Ashely Brown, Myrissa F. Lowery, both of Sheffield, Stephanie M. Reece of Florence, Brianna Lowery of Cherokee, Carley Morrow of Lexington; grandsons, Travis W. Lowery of Cherokee, Cale Morrow and Channing Morrow of Lexington.
