Huda B. Lowery
Huda Bee Grissom Lowery, 71, of Leighton, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at Old Brick Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Lowery's body will lie in state at the church beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harper will officiate.
Mrs. Lowery was a native of Colbert County and member of Old Brick Presbyterian Church. She served as director of the Senior Citizen Center in Leighton, and her memberships included The Order of the Eastern Star No. 229, White Shrine, and Eummaus.
Survivors include her parents, Eli and Berchie Grissom; sons, Roy B. Lowery II and Wyatt K. Lowery; daughter, Trish L. Reece; brother, Hillard Grissom; sister, Beatrice Bowen; eight grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Myrissa Lowery, Travis Lowery, Brianna Lowery, Stephanie Reece, Cale Morrow, Channing Morrow and Carley Morrow.
Pallbearers will be Brad Wood, Mitch Reece, Clarence Briley, J.C. Holt, Hillard Grissom Jr. and Bill Bowen.
Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
