JEFFREYS, Charles Alva, 2 Mar 1932 - 7 Dec 2005. (Town Creek, Lawrence Co. Al. native; d. in San Antonio, Bexar Co., Tx.; worked over 38 yrs. as a machinist for Mobil Chemical; Veteran US Navy 1950 - 1954, Korean Conflict; h/o Norma R. Jeffreys.)
 
Charles Alva Jeffries, of Beaumont, passed away at Northeast Methodist Hospital, in San Antonio.
A native of Alabama and a resident of the Beaumont area for over thirty-eight years, he worked as a machinist for Mobil Chemical. 
He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1950-1954 serving during the Korean Conflict. 
He enjoyed sail boating, skydiving, fishing and hunting. 
Survivors include his wife, Norma R. Jeffreys; sons, Charles A. Jeffreys, Jr. and his wife Patricia and Scott Patrick Jeffreys; daughters, Charlotte Anne Hayes of Jefferson, Maine and Rebecca Darlene Couverette and her husband Frederick; sisters, Annie Gay Self, Jamie Ray Saywell and Marjorie Jo Syna; grandchildren, Matthew Jeffreys, Lindsey Hayes, Thomas Jeffreys, Ryan Hayes, Sean Jeffreys, Beau Couverette, Sharon Jeffreys, Sarah Jeffreys, Austin Couverette and Zachary Couverette.
